Amalgam 1:8 scale 1956 Jaguar D Type #25, Reims 1956 12 hours International race winner. Fully weathered model. The car was driven by Duncan Hamilton and Ivor Bueb, both highly successful endurance and Le Mans winning drivers. Covering 267 laps of the fast Reims circuit, the Jaguar D Type took the first four places, over 20 laps ahead of the Porsche's and Ferrari's.

Only three of this model have been made out of a maximum of 10 in the Limited Edition. This particular model was specially commissioned for Jaguar Cars. and has only ever been displayed at the Jaguar Experience centre in Birmingham and is now available for sale.

With fully opening bonnet, door, boot, fuel filler cover. Fully detailed engine, boot and interior. The model has been meticulously weathered to look as it would have done after the race had finished.

The attention to detail is incredible and is an exact scale copy of the original. With festidious research and scanning of the original car done by Amalgam in full co-operation and scrutiny from Jaguar cars. The model sits on the Amalgam, leather covered display plinth with plaques detailing the car and comes with the original perspex cover. Only 3 of this model were originall made, all for Jaguar Cars and not available for the public to buy. This particular model has a lightly weathered finish to look as it would have after the race.
This is a truly stunning model, measuring approx. 55cms in length and 70cms including the case. A wonderful addition to any model collection or as a stand alone centre piece. The finest model of this car available anywhere in the world.
