CMC M068 1961 Ferrari 156 ‘Sharknose’ 1:18 Phil Hill
This is a Limited Edition of the Ferrari 156 ‘Sharknose’ as driven by Phil Hill to victory in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. This was the last time the full banked track was used in a Grand Prix
Phil Hill also won the World Championship at Monza, following the horrific accident of his challenger for the title and teamate Wolfgang Von Tripps (his Ferrari ‘Sharknose is also avaiable). 15 spectators also lost their lives in the crach. So many racing drivers lost their lives in this era, doing what they loved in spite of the risks, resulting in some fabulous races between charismatic gentlemen who regarded each other as friends.
This is a pre owned, one owner model in as new condition, delightful detail with full cockpit, engine, chassis detailing. The model comes with all original packaging and box. The model shown is the exact model for sale.
