This is a hand signed by Stirling Moss, CMC 1:18 scale model of the Mercedxhamstees W196 ‘Type Monza’ Streamliner as raced in the 1955 Grand Prix season. It was designed with its closed wheels to win on the faster circuits.
This N0. 16 car was the car raced by Stirling Moss at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Moss retired from the race with engine trouble after qualifying second to Fangio.
Made to the usual high standards of CMC (model number M-057) with stunning cockpit detail and check drivers seat, opening bonnet to reveal the mercedes 8 cylinder engine.
The model sits on a black based acrylic display case with a metal plaque signed by Stirling Moss.
This model is a limited edition, now retired from the CMC range and no longer available band new. In as new condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity for the signing, please not signed plaque may differ from the one shown.
