Jaguar D Type 1957 1:8 scale by Javan Smith

Handbuilt brand new 1:8 large scale model made by Javan Smith of the legendary Jaguar D Type that won the 1957 Le Mans. Entered by the Scottish Eccurie Ecosse racing team and driven by Ron Flockhart and Ivor Bueb. The Jaguar D Type took 5 of the first 6 Places at Le Mans that year, making it one of the most dominant cars in Le Mans history.
This model is completely hand made from scratch in the uk, painted in the original Eccurie blue. The attention to detail is second to none and is an exact scale copy of the original car registration 376 SG. The model sits on a frosted glass plinth detailing the car with a perspex cover and a certificate of authenticity from the maker.
This is a truly stunning model almost 2 foot in length including the case. A wonderful addition to any model collection or as a stand alone centre piece.

The model is a special order item and would take around 2 months to complete, other colours/liveries available, please ask. A £500 deposit is required when ordering.

I also have a limited edition print by John Ketchell which makes the perfect accompanyment to the model, the exact same car pictured in the victorious race. I have a professionally framed print in a satin black frame which looks fabulous. The print can also be sent out as print only. Prices £180 pramed or £99 print only.
