1:8 scale 1963 Lotus 25 Jim Clark #8 Italian Grand Prix winner.
This is the Lotus 25 in which Jim Clark won his very first Formula One World Championship. He won the Champoinship at Monza, in Italy with three races to spare in 1963, This #8 Lotus 25 is a highly accurate scale model of that fabulous car.
The model has full cockpit, suspension and engine detail visible throught the covering mesh. This is a ‘kerbside’ model so no bodywork is removable.
Built by the French model maker Thierry Lefevre, the orignal Lotus 25 has been scanned at Hethel in Norfork, UK. The parts for the model are 3D printed to give a truely stunning and highly accurate model. The quality of the model is similar to that of Amalgam’s 1:8 scale models.
A highly sought after model and very rare in this scale. The model is being built in 2021 with delivery expected in June. It is available to pre order now with a deposit of £750. Payment is by bank transfer only for this model (or add on 4% for card/paypal fees).
The photos shown are of the #25 which was the model made for the Classic Team Lotus factory, which I have seen in person at the factory and is beautiful. The model will come mounted on a grey display base with plaque and a perspex cover. Please not the seat in the #8 being built will be red as per Jim Clark’s preference for a red seat, steering wheel and dash.
There is also the option to have the 1963 Belgian Grand Prix #1 car with slightly different windscreen and no mesh over the engine.
